Coworking spaces across Wales

There is a growing host of coworking / hot desking spaces in Wales, which we think is absolutely great! We wanted to start sharing some of those spaces on our website, because we’re quite aware that Aberystwyth isn’t close to a lot of places, so knowing about other hotdesking or coworking space is quite important!

Tramshed Tech, Cardiff

Cardiff has embraced the co-working space, with a variety of great offices across the city. Tramshed Cardiff, just over the river from Cardiff Central, is a Grade II listed building that was first opened in 1902. We’ve singled out Tramshed for the broad range of businesses that use its space, and its membership options. You can go for Day Passes, Part Time or Full Time, or you can have your very own private office. A must for start-ups, scale-ups and established business.

Hwyl Hub, Merthyr Tydfil

Hwyl Hub was started by a group of businesses and freelancers in the Merthyr area. The Hub isn’t just about having access to a great office space; it’s an environment in which creatives can work and collaborate. Hwyl Hub knows that such spaces can revitalise communities and allows for the development of key skills amongst start-up founders. If you pay for 10 days you get another one for free.

Town Square, Wrexham

Town Square has several offices around the country, including the Perch Eco Business Centre in Bicester and the Track Creative Digital Hub in Bognor Regis. But it’s the Enterprise Hub in Wrexham that gets our attention here. One of the great innovations about the Hub in Wrexham is that it provides a number of fully funded places per year for new start-ups – an amazing idea. You can find them on Queen’s Square at the bottom of Lord Street.

M-S Parc, Anglesey

Situated on the Menai Science Park, these folks are a good-looking prospect, especially if you’re looking for office space to see clients. Tanio is a vibrant, buzzy open plan zone that’s perfect for informality. If you’re looking for serious space, there are 17 laboratories to choose from. Not to mention their outdoor courtyard area. If you’re not ready to commit fully to a physical office, they also offer virtual tenancies.

The Creative Common, Haverfordwest

This Haverfordwest hot desk operation is a mix of café and coworking. Tucked away on Goat Street, the Creative Common is one of a bundle of Indycube offices around the UK. This one comes with gorgeous wood beams and a coffee shop attached; it’s a teeny tiny space in which your company can grow. Rent your workspace on a 30-day rolling contract, or simply pop in whenever the desire for a good strong coffee gets the better of you.

Of course, we can’t leave without mentioning our own coworking space, on Bridge Street in Aberystwyth. We’re at the heart of Wales – you can’t get much more central than that! With access to a creative, collaborative environment in the best seaside town in the world, what we want to know is, why haven’t you visited us yet?

Have you used any of these spaces? Which one was your favourite?
